Description

John Morn (Bass and Vocals) sang in choirs in high school and college. He got his first guitar after college and wrote nearly wrote nearly 100 songs that he played at open mics around Atlanta, Georgia. He taught Pop Music History and Songwriting in the Music Business Department at the Art Institutes of Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale. When he met Brian at the end of 2020, John decided to take up bass guitar. John plays bass and acoustic guitar, programs the drums and sings back-up with Stubborn Bastards. He is perhaps the most bastardly of the bastards.

Brian Forte ( Lead Guitar and Vocals) was born and raised in the NYC bedroom community of Leonia, New Jersey. His musical introduction began when he fiddled around on his older brothers left-handed guitar (turned upside down!). In the late 60’s and early 70’s Leonia became a hot bed of creative musicians and local bands. Brian (with his brother Rob) joined the seminal band ‘Thunder Pussy’. Renowned for their musicianship and stage style, the band would quickly become a local favorite act playing clubs, schools and outdoor concerts during the seventies. The music continued during his college career at Syracuse University with a variety of musicians from Northern NJ joining Brian at various college coffee houses and local bars. As fate would have it, music would once again become the center of attention as Brian combined his musical talents with his new ‘Stubborn Bastard’ bandmates. As they say, ROCK ON!

Mike Dalberg (Lead Vocals, Uke and Tenor Guitar) During an almost 50 year career in the apparel/footwear industry Mike devoted his extra time as a singer/actor in the NJ Theater community. Appearing in many shows such as Oklahoma, Beauty And The Beast, Hairspray, The Music Man, Anything Goes, The Wizard Of Oz, and more, he also sang with chorale groups and spent almost 10 years serving as a Board Trustee and Treasurer for Phoenix Performing Arts Center now part of Count Basie Theater For The Arts in Red Bank NJ. Visit michaeldalberg.net to check out his full resume. Mike is thrilled to have met up with John and Brian to form the band Stubborn Bastards. He has recently picked up the ukulele and lovingly says its so cool, finally, at the age of 69 to have finally joined a rock band! The band is thrilled to be joined by our newest member Dan DeMonte (Harmonica and Vocals)
