The Art Connection of Fort Pierce is a non-profit started several years ago “with the goal of providing a gallery where new and emerging artists can show and sell their artwork alongside established artists at a reasonable price.” It’s managed by a team of artists — Judith Suit & Larry Burchard (The Wood Shanty); Jennifer Shibona (Mad Chiwawa Designs); Diane Stark-Kennedy (Naturally Inspired); and Cathy Estremera (Cathy’s Curiosities) — who volunteer their time, talent, and knowledge to operate the gallery.
The current roster of artists in Art Connection with gallery space: Dona Alexander, Paul Bauders, Dale Beam, Janet Bird Fuller, William Blazak, Asia Booth, Gerald Cannizzaro, Nick Cascio, Diane Concepcion, Michael Evans, Gail Goldstein, Greg Hold, Laura Irle, Christine Kee, Tom LaDuc, Barbara Lyons, Vishma Maharaj, Wanda Planer, Brittany Posten, Sheep, Genevieve Smith, Doreen Tassone, Holly Theuns, Sophia Tranoris, Barbara Warren, Joe Young.
In addition to the professional artists in Art Connection, space has been donated to the Lindsay School of Arts to display student artwork. “Also, Maureen Peterman’s family has several pieces of her artwork at the gallery whose sales will go to benefit the Lindsay School in her memory,” said Cathy Estremera.
