The two cultural powerhouses will combine forces to spotlight, feature and promote the County’s immense talent.

The launch of the collaboration will be celebrated at the Cultural Alliance Guild Inaugural Exhibition Opening Night Reception on Oct. 1, 2020, from 5–8 p.m. at MIDFLORIDA Event Center, 9221 SE Event Center Place in Port St. Lucie. The exhibition will feature an array of diverse visual artists: Danielle Biglin, Richard Coble, Susan Estrella, Faye Hadera, Jeanne Johansen, Ronnie Reed and several members of the Fort Pierce Art Club, and will mirror the County’s varied talent pool. Treasure Coast Community Singers,  Indian River Pops Orchestra and Preston Dance Theatre Company will represent some of St. Lucie County finest performing arts organizations.

“Cultural Alliance has found a true partner in MIDFLORIDA Event Center,” said Rebecca Miller, St. Lucie Cultural Alliance Chair of the Board. “This collaboration will provide our artists with a fantastic platform to showcase their talent.”

At the reception, patrons will enjoy live musical entertainment, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a full cash bar. County dignitaries, Cultural Alliance Board of Directors and staff, MIDFLORIDA Event Center leadership and artists and art-lovers will be in attendance. To ensure safety, COVID-19 guidelines will be strictly followed, and the reception will take place outdoors. For individuals who prefer not to attend live events, featured artwork will be available to purchase online, and the reception will be live streamed on Cultural Alliance social media platforms.

“MIDFLORIDA Event Center is Port St. Lucie’s cultural pulse. Our collaboration with St. Lucie Cultural Alliance is another example of the City’s commitment to promoting and supporting local artists and its creative community,” said Linda McCarthy, MIDFLORIDA Event Center Director.

The collaboration will bring live musical entertainment and art fairs to MIDFLORIDA Event Center in addition to ongoing art exhibitions.

“We are so fortunate to have a beautiful center in the heart of Port St. Lucie,” said Alyona Ushe, Executive Director of St. Lucie Cultural Alliance. “This partnership will enable us to truly showcase the immense talent we have in the county and provide our artists with a state-of-the-art facility to perform, exhibit and blossom.”
